Synopsis Laughter may be the best medicine, but Western Swing music undoubtedly comes in a very close second as documented in Still Swingin', a documentary that traces the history of Western Swing music as well as legendary singer Bob Wills' pivotal role in keeping this unique musical form alive for generations. A musical phenomenon that reached its peak popularity during the Depression and just afterward, Western Swing is still going strong - over 70 years later! This special edition DVD features over four hours of bonus programming, including archival clips of Bob Wills' appearances in B-westerns during his career in Hollywood where he and his band performed with cowboy stars Gene Autry, Tex Ritter, Russell Hayden, and Charles Starrett. Still Swingin' also treats fans to famous Western Swing tunes and highlights retrospectives of Bob Wills and Johnnie Lee Wills and their bands, interviews from several of the original Texas Playboys who are still playing today, as well as several new acts that are Still Swingin' - Tracy Byrd, Red Steagall and Stonehorse. Don't dance? Feelin' blue? Still Swingin' promises to change all that!
